Foley art - recording and distorting the whistle

The clip above shows the final result of the train whistle distortion.

The whistle sounds were recorded using Quicktime player, in which the sound was repeated 5-6 times. This way, we were sure we had a variety of sounds to chose from so we selected the right whistle sound effect to use for our film opening.
